Amazing Resources

Every now and then I try to share some resources I've come across that have helped me and, I believe, can help my clients as well. So here are some of my current favorites.

Podcast - Born To Impact - Joel Marion and Dan Long. This is the only podcast I listen to and if there were more like this I might change that. I have gotten a ton of inspiration from these 2 guys and their guests. Here's how they describe what they do - and I can't disagree.

"Born to Impact is the one and only podcast specifically designed to move you further towards living the life you were born to live. Hosted by bestselling author and serial entrepreneur, Joel Marion, the goal of every Born to Impact episode is to give you clear and actionable steps—not fluff, but real, practical takeaways—to help you live a more impactful life... A life of purpose... A life where you’re making a difference in your family, in your relationships, in your career, and in the world around you." Really amazing - I highly recommend it.

Book - Atomic Habits by James Clear. If you're wanting to make some changes and have tried, become discouraged and given up in the past, this is the book for you. Here's an excerpt from the overview.

"No matter your goals, Atomic Habits offers a proven framework for improving--every day. James Clear, one of the world's leading experts on habit formation, reveals practical strategies that will teach you exactly how to form good habits, break bad ones, and master the tiny behaviors that lead to remarkable results.

If you're having trouble changing your habits, the problem isn't you. The problem is your system. Bad habits repeat themselves again and again not because you don't want to change, but because you have the wrong system for change. You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. Here, you'll get a proven system that can take you to new heights." A great guide for making changes.

Exercise Tracker - Fitbit Inspire 2 - I've worn a tracker for years and this is by far my favorite. It shows my daily steps, gives me my heart rate when I'm working out, shows how many calories I've burned and lets me track several different types of exercise. If I wear it to bed it will also track my sleep (I don't, but I could). There's also an app for my phone so I can easily see how I'm doing - or how I did last week. I can track my food and water on the website and connect with other Fitbit users. I always think this is helpful because without tracking most of us, me included, overestimate how much we work out.

Phone App - Jigsaw Puzzle - This one is strictly for fun and relaxation. I have the app on my phone and iPad and love it! I've always loved jigsaw puzzles but don't always want to have to keep up with the pieces. This app makes it easy and enjoyable - my favorite way to relax and destress.

I hope this was helpful - if you have anything that is works well for you let me know. The pic is one of me and my grandson Charlie. I'm putting it in there because he always makes me feel good. Have a great day!
